Our client, based in County Durham are looking for an experienced PV installer for the Northumberland area.
Job Specification:
- Install rooftop and ground‑mounted solar PV systems, including panels, mounting structures, inverters, and cabling.
- Carry out AC and DC electrical work in line with national electrical regulations.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
- Diagnose and repair faults in existing PV systems.
- Install battery storage systems (if applicable).
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards
- Conduct site surveys and assess installation feasibility.
- Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding, and fall‑arrest equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, work completed, and system performance.
- Liaise with customers, project managers, and other trades on‑site.
Personal Specification:
- NVQ or City and Guilds Electrical
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience with solar PV installation
- Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, inverters, and system protection.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings.
- Competent using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
- Comfortable working at height and in outdoor environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
