Key learning areas
Apprentices will develop specialist knowledge and practical skills across travel planning, booking technology, and customer-focused sales. The programme focuses on researching destinations and designing tailored itineraries, using industry-standard booking systems and travel technology, and delivering high-quality customer service through consultative selling. Apprentices will learn to understand customer preferences, manage bookings and changes effectively, and provide informed recommendations that create memorable and well-organised travel experiences.
Travel Planning & Itinerary Design
Learn to research destinations, create customised travel itineraries, understand transport options, accommodation types, and design trips that match customer budgets and preferences.
Booking Systems & Travel Technology
Master GDS (Global Distribution Systems), booking platforms, fare calculation, travel documentation requirements, and digital tools used in modern travel agencies.
Customer Service & Sales in Travel
Develop consultative selling skills specific to travel, learn to understand customer needs, make recommendations, handle bookings, and manage changes or disruptions.
Assessment
End-point assessment including a practical observation of customer interaction, professional discussion based on portfolio, and assessment of travel industry knowledge.
