We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team. The role involves unloading containers filled with various materials and supporting general yard operations.
This is an early-start position, ideal for someone who prefers to finish work by midday and enjoys working outdoors in a hands-on environment.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term progression. Once permanent, the role will expand to include a wider range of warehouse duties and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading materials from containers safely and efficiently
- Handling and moving goods within the yard
- Ensuring materials are organised and stored correctly
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
- Reliable with strong timekeeping (early starts essential)
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Previous yard or warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential
