This supervisory apprenticeship develops leadership and management skills to effectively lead teams, manage performance, and drive operational success. You’ll learn people management, decision-making, communication, and how to motivate teams to achieve organisational objectives.

Key learning areas
Apprentices will develop a strong foundation in core leadership and management capabilities, including people management, performance development, and operational decision-making. The programme focuses on building effective leadership styles, motivating and managing teams, setting and monitoring performance objectives, and supporting individual development. Apprentices will also gain the skills to plan and manage day-to-day operations, allocate resources effectively, and make informed decisions that align operational activity with wider organisational goals.
Leadership & People Management
Learn leadership styles, motivation techniques, delegation, managing team dynamics, conducting one-to-ones, and creating high-performing team environments.
Performance Management & Development
Develop skills to set objectives, monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, manage underperformance, and identify development opportunities for team members.
Operational Management & Decision Making
Master planning, resource allocation, problem-solving, decision-making frameworks, and managing day-to-day operations while supporting strategic goals.
Assessment
End-point assessment including a work-based project with presentation, professional discussion based on portfolio evidence, and assessment of leadership behaviours.
