This apprenticeship develops expertise in continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence. You’ll learn Six Sigma, Lean, problem-solving tools, data analysis, and project management to identify opportunities and implement improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and performance.

Key Learning Areas
Apprentices will develop capability across several core areas including continuous improvement methodologies, project management and implementation, and data analysis and performance measurement. The curriculum emphasises structured problem-solving, effective change delivery, and data-driven decision-making, enabling apprentices to identify improvement opportunities, implement sustainable solutions, and monitor outcomes to support ongoing operational excellence.
Continuous Improvement Technologies
Master Lean Six Sigma principles, kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone diagrams), and tools to identify and eliminate waste and variation.
Project Management & Implementation
Learn to plan improvement projects, engage stakeholders, manage change, use project management techniques (DMAIC), and sustain improvements through standardisation.
Data Analysis & Metrics
Develop skills in statistical process control, data collection, analysis tools (Minitab, Excel), KPI development, and using metrics to monitor performance and validate improvements.
Assessment
End-point assessment including an improvement project with presentation, professional discussion based on portfolio, and demonstration of continuous improvement competencies.
